Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers took a shot at Tom Brady and his former team, the New England Patriots, in an interview with Sportsnet.
"This is too firm for the Patriots," Rodgers joked while holding a football. The jab is a reference to Brady's 'Deflategate' scandal.
According to ESPN, Deflategate implied that the New England Patriots used an illegal process for lowering the inflation of game footballs... namely during the AFC Championship against the Indianapolis Colts because Brady reportedly preferred the grip of softer balls. The claims were investigated and a probe led to a four-game suspension of Brady the following season.
Brady had always denied "altering" any of the game footballs.
The Patriots won the playoff game 45-7... Brady had three touchdown passes in the game.
The Packers will be hosting the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC divisional round on Saturday. Brady's Tampa Bay Buccaneers will host the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.
