Jared Drake Bell, star of the Nickelodeon TV show “Drake and Josh,” has pleaded guilty to two charges related to crimes against a child in Ohio.
According to the prosecution, a 15-year-old teenager filed a police report in Canada in 2018 about an incident that allegedly occurred on December 1, 2017 involving the star.
Cleveland Police looked into her claims and found that the victim had built a relationship with Bell over several years prior. She attended a December concert, where “Bell violated his duty of care and, in doing so, created a risk of harm to the victim.”
Bell was also found to have sent the teenager lewd social media messages in the months before the comment. Reports say that Bell actually tweeted in October 2017 that he would be playing at Cleveland’s The Odeon Concert Club on December 1, 2017.
He has since deleted the tweet.
Bell was released from custody on a $2,500 personal bond since his arraignment on June 3. In court this week, he pleaded guilty to attempted endangering children, which is a 4th degree felony and disseminating matter harmful to juveniles, which is a 1st degree misdemeanor.
