Slipknot member Corey Taylor went off at Machine Gun Kelly again at the 2022 ShipRocked Festival cruise.
“For those of you that don’t know, MGK doesn’t like me very much. And let me follow that up by saying I don’t care,” Taylor told the crowd.
“This genre really doesn’t get the f*cking respect that it deserves,” Taylor said. “[MGK] don’t get to walk in as some weird substitute teacher and pretend that you can tell us what to wear—boots, shoes, house f*cking shoes, slippers. Why don’t you suck every inch of my d*ck? You don’t get to do that. And these are bands that maybe I don’t even f*cking know, but guess what? I fucking respect them because they get on f*cking stage and they f*cking give every f*cking thing they’ve got.”
Kelly performed at Chicago’s Riot Fest and dissed the rock group Slipknot.
“Hey, you wanna know what I’m really happy that I’m not doing? Being 50 years old wearing a f*ckin’ weird mask on a f*cking stage, talkin’ sh*t,” he said on stage. “So anyway, what’s everyone’s favorite candy? Reese’s Pieces?”
He was responding to Taylor saying: “The [young artists] that really frustrate me are the ones that they take something that’s been around forever and then just basically rework it and call it new—even though it’s completely derivative,” he told Loudwire.
