Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello have broken up.
The couple released joint statements on their social media.
“Hey guys, we’ve decided to end our romantic relationship but our love for one another as humans is stronger than ever,” it read. “We started out relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends,” the statement continued. “We so appreciate your support from the beginning and moving forward.”

Mendes and Cabello were rumored to have started dating after their duet “Senorita” in June 2019. That summer, they were spotted out together several times before they eventually went Instagram official.
In August, Cabello squashed rumors that she was engaged to the star.
“I swear to God, I don’t know what hand the engagement ring goes on, so sometimes I’ll just, like, put it on ring finger,” Cabello told Jimmy Fallon after photos went viral of her wearing a ring on her engagement finger.
