Shark Tank stars Kevin O’Leary and Kevin Harrington are being sued for fraud.
A lawsuit representing 20 people accuse the pair of scamming and manipulating them through the use of “fictional executives, false promises of financial success, and even illusions of being on the show Shark Tank itself.”
They say the multi-millionaires exercised a “predatory fraud scheme to induce inventors and entrepreneurs to hire one of two companies, InventureX or Ideazo,” and that they were “promised that they would receive help with crowd funding to start their businesses” if they invested financial resources into them.
But they did not receive any help after spending their coins.
The lawsuit is asking for Harrington and O’ Leary to pay for damages, economic loss, emotional distress and legal fees.
O’Leary is an OG on Shark Tank, which started in 2009. Harrington was only featured in the first two seasons.
The exact amount they are suing for has not be revealed to the public.
