‘RHOSLC’s Jen Shah Asks Judge To Dismiss Fraud Case Due To Hulu Documentary

Jen Shah has asked a judge to dismiss her fraud case after Hulu released their new documentary, The Housewife & the Shah Shocker.

In the documentary, several federal agents commented on Jen’s arrest before she’s even gone to trial.

Jen pleaded not guilty to conspiracy to commit money laundering and conspiracy to commit wire fraud. Her arrest was caught on Bravo’s cameras but she says she is innocent.

Jen asked a judge to dismiss the fraud case, claiming the agents provided details that weren’t available to the public and offered their own opinions.

“Their behavior has destroyed any chance that Ms. Shah will have a fair trial with an impartial jury,” her attorney wrote in a letter to the judge.

“Given both the extensive viewership of Hulu nationwide and Ms. Shah’s public notoriety, a change in venue would not protect Ms. Shah’s rights, nor would alternative remedies such as a detailed voir dire or emphatic jury instructions,” the court documents continued, before requesting the indictment be dismissed.

A judge is yet to rule on the decision.
