Orlando rapper 9lokknine has been arrested on RICO charges.
The rapper, whose real name is Jacquavius Smith, is currently being held on a $750,000 bond and racketeering and conspiracy to commit racketeering charges.
Not too many details about his current arrest have been released but the “Boot Up” artist was also arrested in July 2020 for attempted second-degree murder with a firearm.
Months before, in January 2020, he was charged with carrying a concealed weapon in Miami, Florida. In 2019, 9lokknine was charged with multiple counts, including possession of marijuana and illegal firearm possession.
Several rappers have been taken in on RICO charges since the arrest, and subsequent release, of New York rapper of Tekashi 6ix9ine. Rapper Casanova is still behind bars, unable to make bond on RICO charges. Casanova faces a minimum sentence of 15 years to life if convicted of all the crimes he is accused of. He is one of 18 defendants charged in the RICO case against the United Gorilla Stone Nation, accused of racketeering, drugs, firearms, murder, and fraud.
