Queen Elizabeth Tests Positive For Covid-19

Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II has tested positive for COVID-19.

Buckingham Palace announced the news yesterday.

“Her Majesty is experiencing mild cold-like symptoms, but expects to continue light duties at Windsor over the coming week,” a statement read. “She will continue to receive medical attention and will follow all the appropriate guidelines.”

Her son, Prince Charles, and his wife, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, also tested positive for coronavirus. The 92-year-old royal is fully vaccinated.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who has also had Covid-19, tweeted support to the Queen.

“I’m sure I speak for everyone in wishing Her Majesty The Queen a swift recovery from Covid and a rapid return to vibrant good health,” he tweeted.

Johnson contracted Covid-19 himself in March 2020 and spent 3nights in ICU.

Yesterday, the Palace sent a message from the Queen to the Team GB Curling teams.

“I know that your local communities and people throughout the United Kingdom will join me in sending our good wishes to you, your coaches and the friends and family who have supported you in your great success.”
