Queen Elizabeth Meets w/ Canadian President For First In-Person Since False Death Reports

Queen Elizabeth met with Canadian President Justin Trudeau for her first in-person meeting since false reports of her death circulated online.

Queen Elizabeth tested positive for COVID-19 last month. A spokesman said at the time, "Buckingham Palace confirm that The Queen has today tested positive for Covid. Her Majesty is experiencing mild cold-like symptoms but expects to continue light duties at Windsor over the coming week."

"She will continue to receive medical attention and will follow all the appropriate guidelines," the statement concluded.

Hollywood Unlocked founder Jason Lee apologized for the error after doubling down several times.

"We'd never intentionally cause pain or grief to the monarchy simply for 'clickbait,'" he said: "'Although I've never been wrong when breaking a story because this involves The Queen this is one time I would want to be. And based on Wednesday's report from the Palace, I can say my sources got this wrong and I sincerely apologize to The Queen and the Royal Family.'"
