Producer Mally Mall filed for bankruptcy even though he is currently serving a 33-month prison sentence after admitting that he was a pimp in Las Vegas for more than a decade.
Mally Mall filed a document in U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Nevada on Sept. 16. He documented his current monthly income for the year at more than $333,000 but says his expenses, which include a nearly $12-thousand monthly mortgage, means he is in debt.
“Mally Mall over the last several years had dedicated his life to music and helping people,” his attorney Steve Sadow said as the producer turned himself in. “He has fully recognized the error in his ways and has gone out of his way to try to make amends. He intends to take full advantage of each and every program offered by the Federal Bureau of Prisons.”
Prosecutors say he ran the ring for 12 years between April 2002 and September 2014. He first denied the allegations.
