Pete Davidson is trying to move on from the drama with Kanye West.
“I think he’s doing as best you can in that situation when you’re dealing with something that’s so explosive and loaded, with all kinds of other things,” Jon Stewart said Howard Stern’s SiriusXM radio show. “I just love that kid.”
Pete has faced harassment from Kanye since he started dating Ye’s ex-wife, Kim Kardashian.
“He’s just a kid trying to live his life. [He’s] one of my favorite people,” he said, adding, “He’s just a smart, funny kid trying to live his life.”

Pete has gotten a lot of support from other comedians and Stewart is also standing by him.
“I always have a very paternal instinct on those guys because I’ve seen too many of my friends get in trouble and some of them die, and you don’t [want that],” he said. “It’s a f–ked-up business.”
Kanye has left Pete alone this week.
