Lauren Smith-Fields, a 23-year-old Black woman who was found dead after a date with an older white man, is going viral again today.
MTO News located a series of Facebook posts from her account, which portray Lauren as a "sugar baby," or a woman who dates older men for money. The posts also suggests that she preferred dating older White men.
And one post suggests that Lauren was not above dating married men either - for cash.
According to the police report, officers arrived at Lauren's apartment on Dec. 12 to find "a young adult Black female lying on her back, on the floor" and "did not appear to be breathing."
The police report added that a man who is described as "older" and "White" claimed to have met Andrea on a dating app was the one who called the police.
The man, who Bridgeport police are not identifying, told police that he only knew Lauren for three days. He said he visited her apartment for the first time the night before her death and claimed that she fell ill.

It's not clear what the nature of their relationship was, or whether the man is married.
The next morning, MTO News confirmed that the man told police that he noticed the 23-year-old's nose was bleeding and that she was not breathing, so he dialed 911.
The family said the man was the last known person to see Smith-Fields alive. Police said they do not suspect foul play and have not named him as a "person of interest."
The Medical Examiner announced Monday that Lauren's cause of death was acute intoxication due to the combined effects of fentanyl, promethazine, hydroxyzine, and alcohol. Her death has been ruled an accident.
