N.O.R.E. explained why he decided to take part in Marriage Boot Camp and Love & Hip Hop: Miami.
N.O.R.E. says it was because of DMX’s death.
“That’s how I deal with death, man,” he told HHDX. “When something happens in my life and someone passes away, I become overproductive. I become overworked. I did that with my father’s death, and it was pretty much doing the same thing with DMX’s death. I was with him for the past six weeks of his life. We spoke to him there every day, and then out the blue … that hit me pretty hard.”
He continued, “Both of these shows just came out of nowhere. I was always thinking about doing them, but it just came at the right moment. It was like, ‘You know what? I need to work.'”
He said he needed to keep busy as he and DMX were close and he did not want to grieve on social media.
