Former first lady Melania Trump was reportedly called Rapunzel by the Secret Service because of how rarely she left The White House.
Former Trump administration Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham made the claims in her upcoming book I’ll Take Your Questions Now: What I Saw In The Trump White House.
The book claims the Secret Service would explicitly request to be placed with the first lady because they’d get to spend more time with their families.

Melania was rarely seen out with her husband, and when she was, clips were always posted online of her trying to avoid holding his hand and pulling away from him.
Melani denies the allegations.
A spokesperson told The Post, “[The book] is an attempt to redeem herself after a poor performance as press secretary, failed personal relationships, and unprofessional behavior in the White House. Through mistruth and betrayal, she seeks to gain relevance and money at the expense of Mrs. Trump,”
