At least fifteen people were shot early Sunday morning at a house party in Chicago and two of those victims have already died. The event is being labeled as a massacre by police, MTO News has learned.
According to local reports, the shooting happened at around 4:40am. Police say that a group of gunmen went inside the party and started shooting. At least 15 people whose ages range from 20 to 44 were struck by gunfire.
Officials said at least seven rushed to hospital are in serious to critical condition. Two of those victims have already died, and police expect more to succumb to their injuries.

Throughout the city over the weekend, at least 15 others were wounded by gunfire. One woman injured at the party, grazed by a bullet on her right shin, declined medical treatment but said this to the Chicago Tribune:
"I'm just blessed that that all I got." Saying further, "I'm happy that that was it. I've been through a few times at parties and places where someone is just shooting crazy like that. You can't live your life afraid all the time. I don't want to be like, I'm not going anywhere. Everywhere you go it's always going to be something."
So why did the shooting occur. MTO News was able to piece together a story - from local reports. Witnesses claim that members of a rival gang pushed their way into the party and started shooting haphazardly.
