Rapper Machine Gun Kelly and MMA fighter Conor McGregor got into an altercation on the red carpet at the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards.
McGregor was seen yelling at MGK, who was walking the red carpet with his girlfriend, Megan Fox. The fighter had to be held back after he asked of he could take a picture with Megan, but her team turned him down.
“Conor went in on it a little bit,” a source told People. McGregor then reportedly dropped his cane, picked it up again before he began “swinging it in Kelly’s direction.”

McGregor’s rep said he didn’t ask for a pic with Megan. “Conor and Dee are in their seats enjoying the show. Conor appreciates all his fans,” his rep told the outlet, adding that Machine Gun Kelly “attended Conor’s last fight.”
Video footage shows that McGregor tried to throw some punches MGK’s way but did not get close enough.
