KISS frontman Gene Simmons has tested positive for COVID-19.
He announced the news on social media — adding that he has to miss a few shows while recovering from the sickness. The band and the crew must now remain at home and isolate for the next 10 days.
“KISS will postpone their next four tour dates. While Paul Stanley recently tweeted he has recorded from COVID, Gene Simmons has now tested positive and is experiencing mild symptoms,” the band said.
“The band and the crew will remain at home and isolate for the next 10 days and doctors have indicated the tour should be able to resume on September 9th at FivePoint Amphitheater in Irvine, CA. All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new dates once announced. More information will be emailed to ticketholders directly.”
The Delta variant has been the main cause of positive tests around the country. The government is urging people to get vaccinated.
