Timothy Leeks, the man who police say shot and killed popular Chicago rapper King Von has been released from prison, MTO News has confirmed. Timothy, also called ‘Lul Tim,’ was charged with the murder of rapper King Von last November.
King Von, whose real name is Dayvon Bennett, was shot and killed at age 26 during a fight in the parking lot of the Monaco Hookah Lounge in Atlanta last November. According to police, the fight led to a shootout between two groups that left King Von and two others dead and Lul Tim and two others wounded.
Social media reports say that Lul Tim was defending his close associate, rapper Quando Rondo during the shootout.
Days later, Lul Tim was later arrested and charged and is now reportedly released on a $100,000 bond.
KING VON PREDICTS HIS OWN DEATH ON IG LIVE
Rondo has been defending Lil Tum publicly on social media for months, asking his fans to retweet the hashtag “#FreeLulTim.”
In his Instagram bio, Quando Rondo writes, “Its always two sides to a story.” He has also defended Leeks publicly through his song “End of Story,” which claimed Leeks was acting in self-defense.
Now that Lil Tum is home, his crew have been showing pics of him smoking weed. Many of the fans are commenting that Lil Tum is smoking on “King Von” – a disrespectful way of saying that Lil Tum is celebrating murdering the Chicago rapper.
