Last night, the streets of Chicago were littered with bullets, as a member of the opps shot up a King Von memorial birthday celebration in his O-Block neighborhood in Chicago. MTO News confirmed that the shooter let off nearly 50 shots - but didn't hit a single person.
Luckily for everyone, no one was hit and a suspect was taken into custody. Police believe that the suspect is the man responsible for firing shots at King Von's birthday memorial service.
Before the gunshots rang out, the memorial service was peaceful and celebratory. Nearly 2 dozen people - fans and friends of the deceased Chicago rap legend came out to celebrate his life - on his birthday.
King Von was a rapper and songwriter from Chicago. He was signed to Lil Durk's record label, Only the Family and Empire Distribution.
On November 6, 2020, King Von was involved in an altercation with Quando Rondo in an Atlanta nightclub. The dispute quickly escalated into gunfire and Von was subsequently transported to a hospital in critical condition and died there later that day. He was 26 years old.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation reported that three people were killed. Four people were wounded, one of them was placed in police custody for the murder of King Von while being treated for a gunshot wound.
The suspect was identified as Timothy Leeks, known as Lul Timm, aged 22.
