Kanye West reportedly thinks that his failed presidential run is to blame for Kim Kardashian filing for divorce.
“He’s in that place of ‘if only,'” the source told PEOPLE. “‘If only I had done this, if only I hadn’t done that.’ He’s processing things.”
“He thinks that the Presidential run was the straw that broke the camel’s back,” the source adds. “Before that, there was hope. After that, none. It cost him his marriage.”

Kanye’s presidential run was confusing at best. During one of his campaign events, he broke down in tears and revealed that Kim considered abortion when she got pregnant with their daughter North in 2012. He revealed that he tried to pressure her into not having North — but that she stood her ground and refused.
“Even if my wife wants to divorce me after this speech, she brought North into the world even when I didn’t want to,” he said at the time. “She stood up and she protected that child.”
