A judge has ordered Dr. Dre to pay his estranged wife Nicole Young $500,000 in attorney fees by May 7.
Sounds like a lot — but Nicole was trying to get $5 million to cover her attorney fees — and this judgment is only 10% of what she was asking.

“Pending the next hearing dates on this matter, the Court grants only $500,000 in attorney’s fees to petitioner’s (Nicole’s) counsel,” Judge Powell wrote in the order. “Fees are to be paid to petitioner’s counsel, no later than May 7.”
Currently, Dr. Dre is paying his ex-wife $2 million in temporary support but refused to pay her the $5 million for legal fees. He is now waiting for a judge to determine what the ongoing support amount should be.
As well as Nicole’s monthly expenses Dr. Dre will also continue to pay the mortgage on the Malibu home she lives in as well as security.
This is turning out to be an expensive break-up.
