A worker at the Holiday Inn Express had a violent meltdown, after being confronted by an African American hotel guest about his mistake. The video below showing the man’s reaction has now gone viral, MTO News has learned.
Video of the hotel employee’s violent breakdown towards the African American customer has caused a stir on social media. The hotel guest is seen in the video challenging the hotel worker about an error, and the worker flew into a rage. The Holiday Inn Express employee punched himself in the face – and smashed his head into the computer.
He then walks away – after realizing that he incident was captured on video, and says, “You destroyed my life.”
Some are wondering whether the hotel employee’s meltdown was related to racism -in that he didn’t want to deal with the African American man. Others, however, believe the hotel worker suffered from mental illness – and the episode was unrelated to race.

After the video was posted, a man claiming to be the hotel worker responded in the comments. And that alleged response has gone viral also.
The commenter claimed that he suffers from mental illness – specifically bipolar disorder with schizophrenic tendencies. He claims that he told the customer that he has “mental illness and needed a moment to think.”
The man also claimed that the Black customer used a homophobic slur towards him, but the video did not show the customer uttering any such word. MTO News was also not able to independently confirm whether this comment came from the man in the video.

Sigh. Need the whole story. Tough to judge the behavior w/o being a Dr., signs of a behavioral disorder. Patron deserves a fair, safe experience. HI has a duty to accommodate his disability and compensate/protect the customer. Mental Health Awareness month is May btw. Good convo

He has some issues…but its not the customers fault. In spite of his issues…he had no problem placing the blame on the customer which isn't fair. If he needed to take a break… do so.
