Gronkowski Reportedly ‘Undecided’ On Playing In 2022 Season

Buccaneers’ Rob Gronkowski is reportedly ‘undecided’ on playing in the 2022 NFL season.

Gronk’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, told the Buccaneers on Wednesday that he is undecided on whether he will play in the 2022 season.

“Really straightforward: Gronk hasn’t decided whether or not he’s going to play this season,” Rosenhaus said. “He’s still mulling it over.”

Rosenhaus added that quarterback Tom Brady’s decision to return could help to sway his decision.

Brady retired and then reversed his decision weeks later.

“These past two months I’ve realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands,” Brady wrote. “That time will come. But it’s not now. I love my teammates, and I love my supportive family. They make it all possible. I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa.”

“[Head coach Bruce Arians] and I have had plenty of conversations with Tom recently that led us to believe there was a realistic chance he would want to come back,” Bucs general manager Jason Licht said on Sunday, ESPN reports. “Tom is the greatest quarterback of all time who is still playing at an elite level. With this decision now made, we will continue to move forward with our offseason plans to reload this roster for another championship run.”
