“Press release: so it’s 3 days before Christmas and you wake up to discover the organization YOU created and built from the ground up has been taken away by a rogue board with no notification,” Bryant tweeted.

Yes. This happened. It’s illegal. A mess. Without cause.

In an emailed statement to MTO News, Black Girls Code’s board said that Bryant remains on the company’s staff while “serious allegations of workplace impropriety are being investigated.” It said it had appointed an interim executive director to manage the nonprofit.
So who’s behind this coup at Black Girls Code – another Black woman on the board – Heather Hiles, according to Kimberly.
Heather’s a VC founder who previously stepped down from overseeing Calbright College following allegations of mismanagement and criticism of her her inflated salary.
People are rallying around the founder, Kimberly and will be interesting to see how it unfolds and what led up to the coup.
