Former NFL Star Demaryius Thomas Dead At 33

Demaryius Thomas has died at his home in Roswell, Georgia at 33.

Thomas was considered one of the best wide receivers in Denver Broncos history.

Officer Tim Lupo of the Roswell Police Department told CNN:

“We are devastated and completely heartbroken,” the Broncos said in a statement. “Demaryius’ humility, warmth, kindness and infectious smile will always be remembered by those who knew him and loved him.

The NFL also issued a statement saying, “The NFL family mourns the tragic loss of Demaryius Thomas and we extend our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.”

Early examinations indicate his death was connected to a medical issue.

Thomas played in the NFL from 2010-2019, mostly for the Broncos.  Broncos selected him as the No. 22 overall pick in the 2010 draft out of Georgia Tech.

“We have lost an incredible player and a special person in Demaryius Thomas. Our hearts and deepest sympathies go out to the Thomas family and all who are grieving this unimaginable loss,” the Broncos said in a statement.
