Years back, Diddy told the world he was going to change his name to Love, and recently his new driver’s license arrived proudly, showing off his new name.
“Look what I just got in the mail today,” he wrote alongside a picture of his brand new Florida license. IT’S OFFICIAL!!! WELCOME TO THE LOVE ERA.”
His name is now “Sean Love Combs.”
Back in November 2017, Diddy said in a video on Twitter that he was now going by “Love, aka, Brother Love” and would “not be answering” to any other names. He circled back later and said that he was “only joking,” adding that the name “was just part of one of my alter egos.”
“You can address me by any of my older names, but if you still wanna call me Love, you can call me Love, baby,” he said. “But I was only playing.”

But a source confirmed to ET that he legally changed his name to Sean LOVE Combs in 2019 after filing a petition to change his in November 2019.
