Chris Rock’s younger brother, Kenny Rock, has some choice words for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences for its response to the Will Smith slap – and he’s not happy.
He says his brother was humiliated on national television by Will Smith and the A-List actor should have his Oscar revoked. He said:
“It eats at me watching it over and over again because you’ve seen a loved one being attacked and there’s nothing you can do about it,” he said. “Every time I’m watching the videos, it’s like a rendition that just keeps going over and over in my head. My brother was no threat to him and you just had no respect for him at that moment. You just belittled him in front of millions of people that watch the show.”

He also says that Chris Rock didn’t know that Jada had alopecia. “The joke was funny,” he said. “It wasn’t hilarious funny, but I know that if he knew that she had alopecia … he wouldn’t make a joke about that. But he didn’t know.”
After slapping Chris Rock however, Will Smith received the much anticipated award for Best Actor for his starring role in King Richard and gave an emotional acceptance speech. He also received a standing ovation from the audience.
Smith has since publicly apologized to Chris Rock via social media and resigned from the Academy as a consequence for his actions.
Should Will Smith’s Oscar be revoked and do ya’ll believe that Chris Rock didn’t know about Jada’s condition???
