Chris Rock Jokes He Got His Hearing Back After Oscars Slap

Chris Rock joked that he finally got his hearing back after Will Smith slapped him at the Oscars.

"I'm OK, I have a whole show and I'm not talking about that until I get paid. Life is good. I got my hearing back," Rock said at a recent show according to Deadline.

After the slap, he addressed the slap at a separate show:

"How was your weekend?. I don't have a bunch of sh*t about what happened, so if you came to hear that, I have a whole show I wrote before this weekend. I'm still kind of processing what happened. So, at some point I'll talk about that sh*t. And it will be serious and funny."

Will Smith has been banned from the Academy for a decade.

"The 94th Oscars were meant to be a celebration of the many individuals in our community who did incredible work this past year; however, those moments were overshadowed by the unacceptable and harmful behavior we saw Mr. Smith exhibit on stage," the letter reads.

CHRIS ROCK ROASTING PEOPLE

"Today, the Board of Governors convened a meeting to discuss how best to respond to Will Smith's actions at the Oscars, in addition to accepting his resignation," the letter continued. "The Board has decided, for a period of 10 years from April 8, 2022, Mr. Smith shall not be permitted to attend any Academy events or programs, in person or virtually, including but not limited to the Academy Awards."
