Britney Spears’ New Lawyer Says He Will End Restrictive Conservatorship

The new attorney representing Britney Spears said he will end the star’s restrictive conservatorship that has been in place since 2008.

“My firm and I are moving aggressively and expeditiously to file a petition to remove Jamie Spears unless he resigns first,” Spears’ attorney, Mathew Rosengart, said outside the Courthouse in Los Angeles on Monday per Page Six.

During her courthouse testimony weeks back, Britney claimed her dad enjoyed controlling her life.

“He loved the control [he had] to hurt his own daughter, one hundred thousand percent,” Britney said. “Ma’am, my dad and anyone involved in this conservatorship, and my management, who played huge roles in punishing me when I said ‘No’ [to going on tour] — Ma’am, they should be in jail. I’ve lied and told the whole world I’m OK and I’m happy,” she continued. “I’ve been in denial. I’ve been in shock. I am traumatized”

Britney wants her conservatorship to end once and for all.
