Britney Spears has returned to Instagram after deactivating her account.
Britney announced her engagement to longtime boyfriend Sam Asghari before she deactivated her page and fans began to worry.
"Don't worry folks … just taking a little break from social media to celebrate my engagement !!!!" the singer tweeted last Tuesday. "I'll be back soon."
The engagement news was confirmed to The Times by Brandon Cohen, a talent manager for Asghari.
"The couple made their longstanding relationship official today and are deeply touched by the support, dedication and love expressed to them," Mr. Cohen said.
Three months ago, Britney testified in court that she was not allowed to get married or have a baby because of her conservatorship. She claimed she had been forced to have an IUD installed.
"I want to be able to get married and have a baby," the singer said. "I was told right now in the conservatorship I am not able to get married or have a baby," she said. "I just want my life back. I truly believe this conservatorship is abusive. I don't feel like I can live a full life."
