In a new video, a journalist calls out the comedian – for using racial stereotypes in his skits. The commentator claimed that King Back used black stereotypes as the basis of his skit comedy to entertain a predominantly White audience.
Yikes.
The commentator explained, “This dynamic in verse reminiscent of minstrelsy – a form of entertainment featuring songs, dances, and formulaic comedic routines based on stereotypical depiction of Black Americans.”

The commentator continued, “While the majority of these minstrel shows were performed by White actors in Blackface, there is also a long history of Black actors performing in minstrel shows as well.”
