Atlanta Braves star Marcell Ozuna was arrested Saturday and charged with felony assault after he allegedly choked his wife and threw her against a wall.
Sandy Springs police say they witnessed the incident.
At 12:26 p.m. Saturday, cops responded to a 911 call. When they pulled up to Ozuna’s home, they heard screaming, so they went inside.

Officers say they “witnessed the suspect grabbing the victim by the neck and throwing her against a wall. … In addition to the strangulation attempts, the suspect also struck the victim with his arm which had a cast from a previous injury.”
They say his wife had visible injuries but she was not taken to the hospital.
The police say they charged the baseball star with aggravated assault by strangulation — a felony that carries a minimum of three years and a maximum of 20 years in prison — and misdemeanor battery. He is being held in Fulton County jail.
