A man accused of murdering former New York City drug kingpin Alberto “Alpo” Martinez has been arrested by the NYPD.
Shakeem Parker, 27, is now facing murder and weapons charges for the killing of Alpo, who was shot and killed in Harlem on Oct. 31, 2021. Alpo was shot six times in his arm and once in his chest through the car window but continued to drive the truck four blocks before crashing.

Parker was already in Rikers Island.
Alpo was released from prison in 2015 after serving time in connection with 14 murder counts. He cooperated with the government for a shorter sentence and was in the federal witness protection program in Maine under the name Abraham Rodriguez. But Alpo could not stay out of Harlem and that is where he lost his life. There are rumors that his death was over a woman, while others report that he was killed over a traffic dispute.
