Actress Ellie Kemper Goes Viral – Allegedly Tied To White Supremacist Organization!!

[social_warfare]

Ellie Kemper, who has appeared in ‘The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt’ and ‘The Office’, is currently trending on Twitter MTO News has confirmed – and all for the wrong reasons. Apparently, she was named queen of the Veiled Prophet Ball (VP) in 1999 when she was 19 years old.

So what is the Veiled Prophet Ball? It’s an organization that has been linked to affluent Catholic elites in St. Louis, Missouri. Ellie Kemper was born and raised in St Louis, where the Veiled Prophet Organization has held a debutante ball every year since 1878.

Racial segregation was rampant in St Louis – and most of the United States – for most of the organization’s existence, and the Veiled Prophet didn’t allow Black members to join until 1979.

But should it be considered a White Supremacist organization? You be the judge. Here’s a historical picture from the Veiled Prophet Parade from the early 20th century:

And here’s how Scott Beauchamp, a journalist for The Atlantic, described the first Veiled Prophet’s appearance: armed with a shotgun and pistol, as “strikingly similar in appearance to a klansman.”

So far Ellie has not responded to the allegations.

Ellie is an actress, comedian, and writer. She has been nominated for a Critics’ Choice Movie Award, two Critics’ Choice Television Awards, two Primetime Emmy Awards, three Satellite Awards, and seven Screen Actors Guild Awards.
