Six Capitol Hill police officers have been suspended with pay — for their actions during the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol.
A total of 35 officers are currently under investigation.
“Our Office of Professional Responsibility is investigating the actions of 35 police officers from that day. We currently have suspended six of those officers with pay,” Acting Chief Yogananda Pittman said in a statement to WTTG on Thursday.

According to The Post, some Capitol Police officers were caught on video watching the rioters enter Capitol Hill without lifting a finger.

In one video, Capitol Police Lt. Tarik Khalid Johnson can be seen wearing a red “Make America Great Again” hat while talking to several of the protesters. In another video, that same officer megaphone to one of the protestors and says, “I’ll follow you.”

More than 250 people have been charged for the riot, which led to five deaths. Rioters followed orders from former president Trump to show up and protest the election results.
