Tiger King's Jeff and Lauren Lowe have had nearly 70 big cats seized from their zoo.

According to the Department of Justice, the investigation found instances of animal mistreatment at their Tiger King Park in Thackerville, Oklahoma. Prosecutors say "68 protected lions, tigers, lion-tiger hybrids, and a jaguar" were seized in the raid.

They say after three investigations, the Lowes "received citations for failing to provide the animals with adequate or timely veterinary care, appropriate nutrition, and shelter that protects them from inclement weather and is of sufficient size to allow them to engage in normal behavior," the Justice Department said.

In the Netflix series, Jeff convinced Joe Exotic to sign over his zoo to help him avoid having to give the zoo to his nemesis, Carole Baskin. Jeff allegedly stole the zoo from Joe and helped put him behind bars for allegedly trying to have Carole killed.

Officials alleged that the big cats had been "harmed and harassed" and not being given proper shelter or nutritional care.
