YouTube will be live-streaming this year's Coachella festival - all of it!
This is the first time that YouTube will present live content over both weekends of the music fest. They have live-streamed just one weekend over recent years - never both.
As MTO reported yesterday, Coachella 2019 will run for two weekends — starting first on April 12-14 and again on April 19-21. The festival will take place at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, CA.
YouTube Music and YouTube Premium subscribers in the U.S. will have exclusive access to a dedicated allocation of passes for purchase for each weekend when tickets go on sale on Jan. 4, 2019 at 11 a.m. PT.
YouTube subscribers will be able to stream Coachella after they are given access codes via email which will arrive on Friday. The number of passes is not known.
As well as headliners Childish Gambino, Ariana Grande, and Tame Impala, artists such as Solange Knowles, Janelle Monáe, Ella Mai, H.E.R., Khalid, Pusha T, J Balvin, Idris Elba and more will be hitting the festival stage.
