A robbery case against West Coast rapper Rapper YG will move forward, as ordered by a Los Angeles.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, a judge has ordered the civil lawsuit brought by a man named Benjamin Naderi against YG will continue on.

The media outlet reports that YG wanted the case to be put on hold until the outcome of the criminal trial he is facing over the same incident, but the judge wants them both to move ahead.

Here's what The Blast is reporting:

Naderi claimed he saw the “Big Bank” rapper at the Cosmopolitan and when he went up to ask for a photo, YG refused and started to get upset with him. When he went to walk away, Naderi claims he heard the rapper tell his entourage to “get him.”

He claims YG’s crew then surrounded him and held him down and repeatedly punched him. Naderi then claimed YG walked up and yanked off his gold chain and diamond pendant. He accused the men of then fleeing the scene before anyone responded.

Naderi sued YG for assault, battery and theft and the Cosmo for not providing adequate security at the hotel. The lawsuit is seeking in excess of $250,000 in damages.

The judge says the complaint has shown enough allegations that YG allegedly acted with malice “and sought to physically and emotionally harm him for asking for a picture.”

YG is reportedly facing three felonies, including grand larceny and larceny from a person which carry up to 10 years in prison - each.

YG says, “In this case, Plaintiff concedes at 3 a.m., after essentially stalking” him, a verbal altercation ensued due to “Plaintiff’s unrelenting behavior … Only thereafter, and provoked by Plaintiff, did the alleged physical altercation occur.”

YG could be facing some serious time in the clink. Do you think he can beat the case?
