NYC rap legend Black Rob was rushed to the hospital yesterday, MTO News confirmed - after complaining of respiratory issues.
The news couldn't come at a worse time for NYC, which is currently grieving the death of another legendary hometown rapper DMX.
Black Rob's manager posted a video on Instagram this morning, which showed Black Robb in a hospital gown, looking very ill. He did not offer any details on what illness the legendary rapper is suffering from however.
Here's the video:
Black Rob, real name Robert Ross, is a rapper who was formerly signed to Bad Boy. He is best known for the 2000 hit single "Whoa!", which reached the Billboard Hot 100.
Black Rob has been plagued with health issues for years. Sometime in late 2014/early 2015, Ross suffered a mild stroke, likely due to high blood pressure.
He has since recovered, and in April 2015, said he was feeling better after adopting a healthier lifestyle, in which he gave up drinking and began eating better. "I had to change my health regimen and how I eat. That's it. I'm exercising and trying to keep it up," said Rob. "I don't drink no more."
He is the father of four children, Kayli, Rianna, Diamond, and Million.
