WeTV's 'Love After Lockup' has extended the second season of the show by ten episodes after receiving record high ratings.

The reality television show centers on couples, who meet while one of them is in prison, an decide to tie the knot when they are united on the outside world.

The show is produced by Sharp Entertainment who produces TLC's popular show, '90 Day Fiancé'.

According to THR, Love After Lockup outperforms WE's typical primetime ratings by wide margins. In 2018, the network averaged 441,000 primetime viewers and 189,000 in the 25-54 demo compared to 'Love After Lockup's most recent episode which pulled in 1.4 million viewers.

And why wouldn't it? Season two focuses on a man who is already married with a child but is also in love with a 28-year-old virgin, a man who marries a crack-addict the day after she is released, a bisexual former convict with a super controlling boyfriend and a man who does everything he can to avoid getting a job. Oh, and not to mention the man who sent his fiance over $90,000 while she was in prison to feed her drug habit - she's now a born again Christian.
