A new D’Angelo documentary called 'Devil’s Pie: D’Angelo' premiered this weekend at Tribeca Film Festival and the official first trailer has been released.

Dutch filmmaker Carine Bijlsma directs the upcoming doc. In the trailer, we see D’Angelo’s return after a lengthy hiatus after the release of 2000’s 'Voodoo.' As well as his musical genius, we see those around him discuss several incidents which have profoundly affected the soul singer: substance abuse, a freak car accident, and the loss of close family members.

In the clip, we see his 2014 'Black Messiah', as well as footage from the rehearsals from his 2015 'Second Coming' tour.

We do not have any details as to when it will be coming to a streaming outlet (but we can almost be certain that it will be soon.) Many are hoping that streaming giants Netflix secure the rights.

Take a look at the documentary trailer below.
