This morning accused pedophile Jeffrey Epstein was found dead inside his New York jail cell. Police are claiming that the accused pedophile took his own life and "hanged" himself.

Police say that Jeffrey Epstein was transported in cardiac arrest at 6:39 a.m. from Metropolitan Correctional Center to New York Downtown Hospital - where he was later pronounced dead.

And while government officials and police are hoping to move on from Jeffrey Epstein - folks all over social media suspect that Jeffrey's death may have been the result of foul play.

Epstein, 66, was set to stand trial next year for allegedly sexually abusing and for the trafficking of minor girls at his Upper East Side mansion and his home in Palm Beach, Florida. Some of the charges date back to the early 2000s.

It is believed that Jeffrey was part of a rich and powerful ring of men, who sexually abused young girls. But now that he's dead, details of that alleged sex ring will not come out at his trial.

Last month, a week after being denied bail on federal sex trafficking charges, Mr. Epstein was found unconscious in his cell at the jail in Manhattan with marks on his neck. Prison officials had been investigating that incident as a possible suicide attempt.

It was not immediately clear on Saturday whether Mr. Epstein was under suicide watch or whether the authorities had put in additional safeguards after the earlier incident.

Here are just a few comments about Jeffrey's death today:

Manhattan federal prosecutors last month charged Mr. Epstein, 66, with sex trafficking of girls as young as 14. The indictment renewed attention toward how Mr. Epstein — who had opulent homes, a private jet and access to elite circles — had escaped severe punishment in an earlier investigation into his abuse of girls more than a decade ago in Florida.
