Rapper Nelly will face no further action over a sexual assault claim stemming from his UK tour according to Essex Police.

It was alleged that he had sexually assaulted a fan following a Dec. 2017 concert at Cliffs Pavilion in Southend. The charges were dropped after the alleged victim refused to cooperate with the authorities.

He faces no further action.

"I am very thankful to the UK police for thoroughly investigating the false allegations against me and I am satisfied with the results of this case and the previous one in the US, both driven by the same attorney, both being dropped- I stand with women and real survivors and can’t wait to just focus on what I love, family, music and reconnecting with the fans that have stood by me through these turbulent times," he said in a statement to Fox News.

The woman came forward after US woman, Monique Greene, alleged that Nelly had raped her. Nelly had denied the allegations and filed a counter-suit. Both suits were settled in September.
