A UK Glamor model and TV personality, Katie Price, has that she plans to adopt a baby from Nigeria because it is "hard to do in Britain."
Price revealed her plans on UK television show, This Morning. Price is already a mother of five, but says she plans to expand her family even further.
"Basically, I’ve always said – I think I’ve come on the show a few times to say – that I’ve always wanted to adopt a child,’ she told the hosts.
"I don’t care if they have disabilities, what age, just because I feel like I can offer a place"
She then explained how she came up with the idea to adopt a child from Nigeria:
"Funny enough I was getting my nails done and there was a lady sitting next to me and I said: “I’m sorry to ask, but are you a nurse?” ‘But the long story short, she wasn’t a nurse, but she was telling me how she looks after this orphanage in Nigeria and we got talking and stuff about disabilities and charities, and I said I have always wanted to adopt.
"But the thing is, it is easy to adopt abroad but it isn’t easy to bring them into this country... I’ve looked into it for ages so now that I have met this woman hopefully something will happen [...] It is so hard to adopt over here."
Price is mother to son Harvey, 16, with ex-footballer Dwight Yorke, Junior, 13, and Princess, 11, with ex-husband Peter Andre and Jett, five, and Bunny, four, with Kieran Hayler.
