MSNBC anchor Joy Ann Reid may soon be FIRED from her job at MSNBC. It all started, because of some OLD BLOG POSTS - that people say are "homophobic."
Joy had a blog MORE THAN 10 years ago, where she commented on issues. In one post, she talked honestly about how she felt about HOMOSEXUAL RELATIONSHIPS. This blog was BEFORE she joined MSNBC - and while George W Bush was President.
The posts allegedly "included a top five “totally not gay celebrities” list in 2006 that included Clay Aiken and Anderson Cooper and pleas to Keith Olbermann to “defend your honor” against speculation that he was gay."
While we do not CONDONE the sentiment of the posts, they were old, and quite frankly, a LOT of people felt the same way 10 years ago.
Here's what Joy allegedly wrote:
When Joy was confronted with this , she allegedly told MSNBC that this was NOT her writing, and that her old site was "hacked."
She hired a lawyer and said that the FBI is looking into it:
After all the drama and allegations, Joy made a statement:
“In December I learned that an unknown, external party accessed and manipulated material from my now-defunct blog, The Reid Report, to include offensive and hateful references that are fabricated and run counter to my personal beliefs and ideology,” she said in a statement to Mediaite.
Now reports are saying that Joy may have been LYING about he "hack". MSNBC is looking into it, and it looks BAD for Joy.
Here's a reporter saying that Joy may get fired ANY DAY NOW:
