UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov revealed during a press conference that Conor McGregor begged "please don't kill me" during UFC 229.
The beef between Nurmagomedov reached an all-time high when McGregor made offensive remarks about his family, so Nurmagomedov showed no mercy when they faced off in the ring.
When he was asked about a potential rematch with McGregor, he told reporters in London:
"Last three years he have only one victory in amateur boxing. How he deserve a rematch?"
He then continued:
"He tapped. He begged me: 'Please don't kill me,' you know? Now he's talking about rematch? Tony Ferguson on the line. People who have win streak on the line. Not a guy who don't win nothing last three years, you know?
"I have a lot of works without him. Right now I focus on September 7."
The undefeated UFC lightweight champion (27-0 MMA, 11-0 UFC) gearing up to face interim champion Dustin Poirier (25-5 MMA, 17-4 UFC) at UFC 242 in Abu Dhabi on Sept. 7.
