U.S. Olympic gold medalist Klete Keller has reportedly been identified as one of the U.S. Capitol rioters.
In video clips, a tall man is seen wearing a U.S. Olympic Team jacket as police attempt to clear the venue and more than a dozen people within the sport have identified that individual to SwimSwam as the 6’6” Olympic gold medalist Klete Keller after reviewing the video and screenshots.
It wasn't a smart move for him to wear his Olympic jacket.
The FBI has already started the process of identifying and arresting the rioters.
“These individuals actively attacked United States Capitol Police Officers and other uniformed law enforcement officers with metal pipes, discharged chemical irritants, and took up other weapons against our officers. They were determined to enter into the Capitol Building by causing great damage," the U.S. Capitol Police said in a press release the next day.

Klete is a well-known supporter of Trump but has since deleted all of his social media.
"[W]e respect private individuals' and groups' rights to peacefully protest but in no way condone the actions taken by those at the Capitol last week," a USA Swimming spokesperson told ESPN.
