Former supermodel Tyra Banks faced heavy criticism after resurfaced clips of America's Next Top Model surfaced, which appeared to show white models wearing Blackface trended online.
"Wait wait wait. We must talk about this as well. Tyra was out here normalizing Blackface. How is this woman not cancelled 😂😂 #ANTM" a Twitter user wrote.
Viewers were shocked by several of the other clips. In a clip from Cycle 13's "biracial themed" photo shoot and in Cycle 4, runner-up Kahlen Rondot was asked to do a photoshoot in a coffin in a graveyard – just a day after her friend died.
Tyra tweeted to following apology to her fans:
"Been seeing the posts about the insensitivity of some past ANTM moments and I agree with you. Looking back, those were some really off choices. Appreciate your honest feedback and am sending so much love and virtual hugs. ❤️"
