Twitter has said that former President Donald Trump's ban is permanent and will remain in place even if he decides to run for president in 2024.
During an interview on CNBC, Twitter CFO Ned Segal made it clear that Trump will not be welcome on the platform now or in the future.
"The way our policies work, when you're removed from the platform, you're removed from the platform," he said, "whether you're a commentator, you're a CFO, or you are a former or current public official. Remember, our policies are designed to make sure that people are not inciting violence, and if anybody does that, we have to remove them from the service and our policies don't allow people to come back."
TRUMP IS NOT HERE FOR POLITICAL CORRECTNESS
Trump incited his supporters to storm the US Capitol on Jan. 6, prompting Twitter to permanently suspend him "due to the risk of further incitement of violence."
He is the only president in the history of the country to be impeached twice.
