Trump Denies Hiding Out In His Bunker During DC Protests

Publish date:

President Donald Trump is denying that he hid out in his bunker last Friday night after protests in Washington, DC turned heated -- calling the reports "fake" as per usual.

"It was a false report. I wasn't down [in the bunker]," on Friday evening, Trump said on Fox News Radio host Brian Kilmeade's show.

"I went down during the day and I was there for a tiny, little short period of time and it was much more for an inspection, there was no problem during the day," the president said.

He was then asked whether he was instructed by the Secret Service to head down to the bunker. "Nope, they didn't tell me that at all," he replied.

The timing is nothing short of suspicious -- why would Trump pick such a time to check the bunker out? The bunker had reportedly not been used since 9/11.

The reports garnered a plethora of memes on Twitter and #bunkerbitch trended online.
